Quinning
MAC Quinning Eyeshadow x 8 Palette ($45.00 for 0.49 oz.) has a more spring-time, pastel-leaning color story, which can often spell trouble for brands as pastel eyeshadows are a challenge to do well… and even more so when the brand isn’t really lauded for its eyeshadow any more. Time sometimes runs together for me, so I was just thinking about how much I used to love MAC’s eyeshadows and how little they interest me now! The reality is that MAC hasn’t been my “go-to” for eyeshadow in nearly a decade. I’m surprised the formula hasn’t returned to form given that length of time, though.
Unfortunately, this palette just is a reminder of how much the formula has changed over time; the eyeshadows were sheerer, drier, thinner, and more prone to fading throughout the palette. It would absolutely require a good eyeshadow primer (something with a bit of tackiness) or wet brushes to make it work.
